Summery

A unique river passing through two beautiful and contrasting scenic areas, Relatively small volume, blue and warm, we recommend this as an ideal short trip for first time rafters or as “warm-up” for intermediate kayakers. The water temperature is incredibly warm, making it a popular choice for winter trips and also for kayak clinics.

The River

The Seti Khola rises on the South East slopes of Machhapuchhare and then flows south, as a fairly typical Nepalese mountain river, It is a dammed for Hydro Electic power just above Pokhara and then shortly afterwards it disappears into a deep and very narrow chasm to go underground and then reappear again in a wide valley a few kilometers below pokhara – be warned though , the river disappears underground yet again, about 16km below Pokhara –so be careful where you get in the Upper Seti Khola above Pokhara is described separately.
